Outdoor Mini Soccer

We are currently looking for one or two more individuals who are interested in being
mentored through the 2025 season, and convene for the 2026 season.

Mini Soccer 2025
ALL registrants prior to registration closure are guaranteed a roster spot.
Late fee of 50 will apply to late registrations and registrations will only be
approved based on available space.
Southdale Mini soccer is a fun introduction to the sport of soccer for children who live in
the Southdale Community Centre catchment (including Southdale, Island Lakes,
Royalwood, Sage Creek and Bonavista). All players, coaches and spectators are
expected to conduct themselves in a positive, respectful and appropriate manner.
The season will run for 8 weeks from May 4 (weather dependent) -June 22, with the following schedule and
fees. $15 admin fee for all registrants.
Shin guards are required for all ages, cleats are optional.

* Timbits U3 (Born 2022) Sundays 4:00-4:40pm $40
* Timbits U4 (Born 2021) Sundays 3:00-3:40pm $40
Timbits U5 (Born 2020) Mondays and Wednesdays 6:00-6:45pm $62
Timbits U6 (Born 2019) Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:00-6:45pm $62
MALE & FEMALE TEAMS
**U7 and U8 teams could be mixed together based on registration turn out!
MALES: U7 (Born 2018) & U8 (Born 2017) Tuesdays and Thursdays 7:00-8:00pm $90
FEMALE: U7 (Born 2018) & U8 (Born 2017) Monday and Wednesday 7:00-8:00pm $90
Coaches Needed
This program requires a significant number of volunteers to run; please consider
volunteering to coach or assist when you register your child(ren). Friend requests are
guaranteed for individuals who coach. No previous coaching experience is required.
Convenors will provide coaching resources including drills and fun games. You are
welcome to take on this role with a friend. If you have any questions about coaching,

Jamboree
The mini-soccer jamboree will be held Sunday, June 22 rd at De La Seigneurie Park for
registered players and families only. Details will be available to teams as planning
progresses.
* For Timbits U3 and Timbits U4 players, it is expected that a family member will be
available to work/play with the child for warm up/practice when called upon by the
coaches.
**Requests for players to participate in different age groups will NOT be considered.
Southdale continues to support the Long Term Development Program (LTDP) as
outlined by the Manitoba Soccer Association (MSA). The Timbits U5 – Timbits U8 teams
will continue to be smaller than average, with fewer players on the field at a time
(allowing more touches on the ball).
Friend requests for children in the same year will be considered but not guaranteed.
