P.A.C.E. / Walk
(People with Arthritis Can Exercise)
You may be interested in a specially designed exercise class that will
help with flexibility, range of motion and endurance. Sitting and standing
routines will help to relieve stiffness and improve posture. Anyone can
benefit! Social atmosphere as you walk and get fit. This class will help to
improve your balance and muscular strength, using both free weights and
dynabands. Great for first time exercise enthusiasts. If, you have
arthritis-and even if, you don’t!
Instructors: Cathy (Mondays 10:45 am) (Gym)
Chair Yoga is practice and meditation in seated poses with the chair as
a balance point. A melding together of breath and movement with the aid of a
chair. It challenges the mind through strengthening, stretching, relaxation and
breathing. It is recommended for the less agile seniors particularly for those
with arthritis, osteoporosis and recovery from illness or surgery. Come out and
join us for this new and exciting class!

This class is open to all levels of yoga, whether you are a beginner,
have taken classes before or simply want to take another class. Enjoy a
welcoming and relaxing atmosphere while learning body alignment, relaxation
techniques and more.

SENIORS EXERCISE CLASS SUGGESTIONS – all 1 Hour
Classes – Cardio and Muscle Toning Based
Low Impact Cardio/Walking Workout for Seniors /Low Impact Cardio
Interval Training and low impact Hi-Lo Cardio/Cardio& Matt workout for
Seniors and improves your quality of life with a low impact walking workout
that includes cardio, muscle toning, balance, and strength and stretch
exercises for seniors. Includes warm-up, cool down and rest periods. Instructor
– Regina – Friday’s at 10:45 in the Leisure Rink
Experience resistance training using free weights, Dynabands, balls and
various other equipment. This class includes warm-up, cardio, muscle
strengthening and endurance and cool down.
Instructor: Krystal (Tuesday & Thursday 10:45am-11:45am) (Gym)
2 B Fit
For seniors with some mobility and balance challenges. A
fun-filled chair program with components of stretch, strength and some
aerobics with energizing music. Live well, age well is our motto!
Instructor: Regina (Wednesdays 10:45-11:30am)
Dancing: “Beginners & Continuing”
Line dance for fun and fitness. Move to the strains of the golden oldies
and mainstream tunes and the rhythms of Latin, Big Band, Pop and Country. No
partner needed, just a desire to have a good time!

Mindfullness is a topic that is quickly gaining a lot of attention. This
session is intended to provide a experiential way to answer the questions: What
is Mindfulness? What are the benefits of Mindfulness? How are we already
Mindful? What can we do to be more Mindful? During our one hour weekly sessions
we will explore various mindfulness based meditations and practices; each week
we introducing a formal meditation practice as well exploring non formal
practices that can be used anytime/anywhere. Through experiential understanding
we grow to live with a greater sense of peace, joy and contentment.
